Valkyria Chronicles 4 

(PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC)

Rating: Teen

Content Descriptors: Blood, Language, Suggestive Themes, Use of Alcohol and Tobacco, Violence

This is a strategy role-playing game in which players control a squad of soldiers in a fictional World War II-inspired conflict. Battles are mostly depicted from a third-person perspective as characters perform various actions such as claiming strategic positions, moving tanks, and firing weapons. Cutscenes sometimes depict characters getting shot and killed; these sequences are highlighted by cries of pain and realistic gunfire. Some scenes depict soldiers with bloodied bandages/wounds, as well as brief splashes of blood when injured. The game contains some suggestive material. During the course of the game, characters often discuss alcohol, and one character is shown drunk; another character is seen holding a cigarette and asking for a light. Swear words appear in dialogue.

FIFA 19

(PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PS3, 360, PC)

Rating: Everyone

This is a soccer simulation game in which players engage in realistic matches with teams across international leagues. Players can practice penalty kicks, assign on-field strategies, and participate in a variety of game modes to improve their soccer skills.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna The Golden Country 

(Switch)

Rating: Teen

Content Descriptors: Language, Suggestive Themes, Violence

This is a role-playing game in which players lead adventurers through dangerous events known as the Aegis War. Players traverse through the world of Alrest, interact with characters, complete quests, and battle fantasy creatures and human enemies in melee-style combat. Players use magic spells and melee attacks to deplete enemies' health meters. Battles are accompanied by slashing sounds and colorful light effects. Cutscenes depict additional acts of violence: villagers killed by large laser blasts; a character killed by poison. Some female characters wear outfits that expose large amounts of cleavage; in one sequence, a boy is depicted pinching a female character's buttocks. Swear words appear in the game.

NHL 19 

(PS4, Xbox One)

Rating: Everyone 10 and up

Content Descriptors: Mild Violence

In this hockey simulation game, players can select teams from NHL rosters and play realistically depicted games of hockey. During the course of each match, players may initiate brief fistfights; the perspective shifts to isolate two players throwing punches and grabbing at one another until the fight is broken up.


Shadow of the Tomb Raider 

(PS4, Xbox One, PC)

Rating: Mature

Content Descriptors: Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Strong Language

This is an action game in which players assume the role of archaeologist Lara Croft as she attempts to stop a mysterious group known as Trinity. From a third-person perspective, players can explore jungles and tombs, solve puzzles, and engage in combat with enemy figures and animals. Players use firearms, arrows, and an ice pick/axe to attack and kill enemies. Combat is highlighted by screams of pain, realistic gunfire, and explosions. Some areas allow Lara to use stealth to sneak up behind her enemies before stabbing them in the head or chest. Players must avoid traps/hazards when grappling and exploring tombs; when Lara fails to avoid these dangers, players are shown brief cutscenes of Lara being impaled on spikes, stabbed with spears, or mauled by animals. Action is frequently accompanied by realistic blood effects, and some areas contain mutilated corpses on sacrificial altars, hanging from the ceiling, or piled in a cave. Swear words appear in the dialogue.


Black Clover: Quartet Knights 

(PS4, PC)

This is an action-fighting game in which players assume the role of knights battling a wizard and his henchmen. From a third-person perspective, players use swords and magic attacks to battle enemy soldiers, royal mages, and stone golems in frenetic melee-style combat. Battles are highlighted by sword slashes, cries of pain, and colorful light bursts. The game contains some suggestive material: a female character wearing a revealing outfit; a character's breasts jiggling when she moves; dialogue such as "Don't touch me so casually," and "You let these perverts run about?" Some sequences in the game reference alcohol use or depict characters holding drinks; one character is frequently seen with a cigarette in his mouth. Swear words appear in the game.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age 

(PS4, PC)

Rating: Teen

Content Descriptors: Crude Humor, Fantasy Violence, Mild Blood, Simulated Gambling, Suggestive Themes, Use of Alcohol

This is a role-playing game in which players assume the role of a hero who must defeat an evil force in the land of Erdrea. From a third-person perspective, players explore towns, complete quests, and battle fantastical creatures to advance the storyline. Combat is turn-based, with players selecting attack moves/skills/items from a menu; on-screen characters perform short animations for each action, using swords, crossbows, and magic spells to defeat enemies. Cutscenes sometimes depict characters getting impaled; a handful of scenes depict dead soldiers on the ground. One enemy is called “Bloody Hand,” and is represented by a disembodied hand dripping with red, slime-like blood. The game contains some suggestive material: female characters wearing low-cut tops or bunny outfits; male characters caught with “girlie magazines”; innuendo in the dialogue. During the course of the game, characters can enter a casino and bet tokens on games such as slot machines, roulette, and poker. Some characters are depicted drunk in pubs and/or party environments. Players have the ability to acquire horse manure as in inventory item; one cutscene depicts a character placing a lump of feces in a creature's hand.


Immortal: Unchained

This is a third-person shooter in which players assume the role of a human protagonist unleashed to find and stop an evil threat to the cosmos. Players explore a futuristic world and use pistols, machine guns, shotguns, and explosives to kill techno-organic creatures and larger enemy bosses. Combat is accompanied by realistic gunfire, large explosions, and cries of pain; brief splatters of red blood appear when the player-character is injured.

Spider-Man 

(PS4)

This is an action game in which players assume the role of Peter Parker/Spider Man in a fictional version of New York City. From a third-person perspective, players fight crime, swing around buildings, and engage in melee combat with various thugs. Characters mostly punch, kick, and throw each other during fights; some enemy characters also use pistols and machine guns. Combat is highlighted by realistic gunfire, screams of pain, impact sounds, and occasional slow-motion sequences. One cutscene depicts a character in the background shooting himself in the head; another cutscene depicts a mugger shooting an innocent character. Some missions/plotlines involve drug deals and “designer narcotics”; one scene briefly shows a duffel bag full of white packages of the drug. Swear words appear in the dialogue.
