Looking at PBS kids game Super Why Super Celebrations Cake Maker

Since there are no new releases for video games I am going to look at games on websites. I will be looking at each game as individual and not a whole.
The first game on this list will be Super Why Super Celebrations Cake Maker.

Web Site:
http://pbskids.org/superwhy/#/game/cakegame

The first thing you do is picking a celebration. The choices at Halloween, Birthday, Winter, or Beach. The children get to pick their choice of 3 cake pans after the season. Once they select the pan they will need to spell the word.

after the batter is poured in the cake and the oven bakes the cake in to a three layer cake (magic). THe kids get to select the frosting.
After making the selection the game will ask to put the first letter and the beginning of the work of the flavor they selected.
as I have selected Vanilla, I have to select the V to start the word. Next we have to select the cake topper then spell the word.

I selected the juke box and it wanted me to spell sing. After this you decorate the cake with sprinkles.
and then it is time to celebrate with the Super Readers.
The Super Readers do a little dance ad that is the end. What is good about this game is it teaches kids to sound out words and gives them words that start with that same letter to help out.

Its a fun game and should be really enjoyable to your little one.

Watch_Dogs 2 Nude NPC

There is Shocking pic and story going around about a game released a week ago Watch_Dogs 2. Most people are shocked by the person who found this got his account banned for PlayStation Network. I thing is how this got by the ESRB is the real question. Here is the run down of the story.

Watch Dogs 2 players have discovered, the game contains full-frontal nudity, but if you want to share a screenshot or footage of this content, you could get your account suspended by Sony. At least, that’s what happened to one PlayStation 4 user when he used the console’s Share feature to upload a screenshot of a fallen character seemingly wearing crotchless panties.
A QA tester wrote in a post on an online forum that he found himself faced with an account suspension after sharing an image of a naked female NPC in Ubisoft’s new open world game. “On Sunday evening I accidentally blew up a few women in a back alley with a gas pipe and then I saw *it*,” the tester wrote. “I took a picture of this funny oversight with the ingame camera and shared it on twitter for my friends to see and I posted it in one of the Watch Dogs early release threads on here. Cut to tonight where I can’t access my services while playing the game and then when I tried to sign in there was a very brief message about my account being suspended.” PlayStation Network’s terms of service, defamatory or offensive materials represent a breach of contract. The terms state that users should not “share anything that is vulgar or use community features to harm or alarm anyone.”
Sony sent an email to the tester explaining the suspension: “Content of an adult or sexual nature is against our Code of Conduct. The suspension will last 1 week. You won’t be able to access online multiplayer, PlayStation Store and other network features until the suspension is over.
We ask all our players to act decently, respectfully and with consideration for us and other players while using PlayStation Network. To make sure you understand the behaviour we expect from our community, please review the Code of Conduct before returning to PlayStation Network. Please be aware that any further breaches of the Code of Conduct may result in a longer suspension or even a permanent ban.”
In a statement to IGN, an Ubisoft representative responded to the story and claims that the nude NPC model will be taken out in a patch to be released sometime this week:
“We’re aware that one of the NPC models in Watch Dogs 2 is rendered in a way that is particularly explicit. While Watch Dogs 2 is a mature-rated game, we apologize and will update this NPC model to make it more consistent with other NPC models in the game in a patch to be released this week. We also are working with our first-party partners to ensure that players can continue to play and share all content from the game within the bounds of the first parties’ respective codes of conduct.”
It is unclear whether Ubisoft plans to remove male genitalia from the game as well, which one would assume would also lead to a suspension if shared in a screenshot or gameplay footage. For now, it seems that you can share all the dead bodies you want in Watch Dogs 2, but if there’s even a bit of nudity involved, you could be faced with a ban.
(Via: IGN)

I think what the big deal here should be is full nudity in a video game. How did this get by the ESRB? It looks Like Ubisoft is fixing this but this is crazy.

Steam Will Soon Require All Game Pages to Show Screenshots

It looks like  Steam (the biggest online store for PC games) will make new rules to stop non-screenshots from appearing in the pages for that game. Why is this a big deal? It will stop publishers from using non game footage to sell the game.

Here is screen shot old screen shot of the Dota 2 page. It has colorful art work for the pictures and looks like it will be oneon one battles. but here is what Dota 2 looks like when you are playing it.

Dota 2 is a battle arena that you play on team to defeat the other team. Why are they doing this? Well it as to do with Steams refund policy and a game No Man's Sky. As it looks from the pictures you will fly to planets in groups meet strange creatures and find mysterious alien landmarks.  Here are the Pictures on the Steam Website.

What the game was a game about harvesting planets and flying around and worlds that did looked like this.
The game got overwhelming Negitative reviews and most copies were refunded. With these games and bunch of others Steam is going to make changes.

You can see a full screenshot of the notice provided by Sanjuaro here.
