Touhou Genso Wanderer (PS4, Vita)
Rating: Teen
Content Descriptors: Blood, Fantasy Violence, Mild Language, Mild Suggestive Themes, Use of Alcohol
This is role-playing game in which players assume the role of a shrine maiden on a quest to stop an evil villain's plans. From a top-down perspective, players traverse maze-like levels/floors and use a variety of weapons to defeat fantastical enemies in melee-style combat. Some weapons cause red blood splatter to appear as enemies are injured and killed. The game contains some suggestive material: dialogue that states, “No…Where are you touching me?! . . . *sigh* Fine, just for tonight”; a still-image screen of a drunken female character being helped out of her clothes. Some items can give characters a drunken status when used. The word “a*s” appears in dialogue.
Nioh
(PS4)
Rating: Mature
Content Descriptors: Blood and Gore, Violence
This is an action game in which players assume the role of a warrior swordsman in pursuit of a villain during feudal Japan. As players traverse villages and ancient castles, they use swords, spears, longbows, and rifles to kill human enemies and demonic creatures in melee-style and ranged combat. Some attacks result in large sprays of blood as enemies are decapitated and/or dismembered; some areas also depict large smears of blood on walls and mounds of corpses on a battlefield. Cutscenes depict additional acts of violence: a man impaled through the chest with a crystal shard; a creature stabbed through the head with a sword.
