Happy Halloween! Hello and Welcome to Parents Guide 2 Games. Here are the games coming out the week of October 31st
2017.
Bubsy: The Woolies Strikes Back
(PS4, PC)
Rating: Everyone
This is a platformer game in which players assume the role of a cat
who must rescue Earth's yarn balls from aliens. Players traverse
platform environments, collect yarn balls, and defeat enemies by
jumping on their heads. Boss battles contain somewhat more frenetic
action, with UFOs shooting lasers or bursts of fire at Bubsy.
Steven Universe: Save the Light!
(PS4, Xbox One)
Rating: Everyone 10 and up
The game has a blend
of real-time and turn-based combat, and more of a focus on
exploration and puzzle-solving. Players will be able to explore Beach
City and surrounding areas, and engage in battles with enemies.
During battle, the players' actions, which include attacking and
defending, will build up the star meter which allows the characters
to pull off more powerful moves. A new feature allows characters to
build up a relationship-based meter during battles and dialogue
interactions; when filled, characters are able to fuse, such as
Steven and Connie into Stevonnie.
Call of Duty: WWII
(PS4, Xbox One, PC)
Rating: Mature
This is a first-person shooter in which players assume the role of an
American soldier through the Allied campaign in Europe during WWII.
Players use machine guns, shotguns, rocket launchers, and explosives
to kill enemy soldiers; some weapon attacks result in decapitation
and/or dismemberment, leaving bloodstains and body parts on the
ground. Battles are frenetic and accompanied by realistic gunfire,
screams of pain, and large explosions. Cutscenes also depict
instances of violence: a prisoner shot in the head at close-range;
enemy soldiers shooting themselves to avoid capture. Swear words are
heard in the dialogue.
