Video Game New Releases December 12th 2017

Hello and Welcome to Parents Guide 2 Games. Here are the games coming out the week of December 12th 2017.
Fallout 4 VR
(Vive)
Rating: Mature

This is an VR action role-playing game in which players assume the role of a fallout shelter resident emerging from a post-apocalyptic world. As players traverse the open-world environment, they complete various mission objectives and use machine guns, machetes, lasers, and explosives to kill mutants and other human survivors. Battles are frenetic with realistic gunfire, explosions, and large blood-splatter effects; some attacks result in slow-motion dismemberment and decapitations. A handful of scenes depict chunks of flesh as well as severed heads and dismembered corpses. During the course of the game, players can consume a variety of fictional drugs through the use of a menu; repeated use of these drugs leads to an addiction status and various negative effects for characters. Swear words are heard in the dialogue.

Resident Evil 7: Gold Edition

This is a survival-horror game in which players assume the role of a man searching for a missing person inside a mansion. From a first-person perspective, players explore the environment and use pistols, shotguns, flamethrowers, explosives and chainsaws to kill mutant creatures. Combat is accompanied by realistic gunfire, screams of pain, and exaggerated blood-splatter effects. As players progress through the story, cutscenes can depict instances of gore and intense acts of violence: a character's arm dismembered by a chainsaw; a man's leg taken off at the knee with a shovel; a character impaled through the face with a shovel. Some areas also depict mutilated corpses with exposed organs/viscera. Swear words are heard in the dialogue.

Okami HD

This is an action-adventure game in which players assume the role of a mythical dog that attempts to restore peace to the world. From a third-person perspective, players use swords, mirrors, and magic attacks to defeat human-like enemies in melee-style combat. Enemies generally burst into clouds when defeated; some enemies split in half, emitting stylized spurts of blood. A handful of still images depict animals surrounded by large red bloodstains. One sequence depicts a character using a sword to decapitate the heads of a hydra-like monster. The game includes some suggestive material: a woman whose kimono reveals large portions of her buttocks; a sequence in which a bug pops out of a woman's cleavage; a cutscene in which characters observe a woman bathing in a stream; dialogue that states, "Now you just hold your melons, babe!" A few cutscenes depict characters drinking from jugs of sake or smoking pipes; Amaterasu can also obtain a variety of sake power-up items. One level contains a dog enemy that uses feces or urine to attack opponents.

Playerunknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG)

This is a multiplayer action game in which players can participate in "last-man-standing"-style shootouts while collecting supplies/weapons/armor around an island. From a third-person perspective, players parachute onto an island and search for items, vehicles, and supplies that they must defend from other players; characters can engage in fistfights, and use weapons to shoot and kill opponents. Successful hits are accompanied by brief splashes of blood; characters fall to the ground when killed, as their items become available to other players. Players can also use vehicles to run over opponents.
