Rick and Morty Virtual Rick-ality

(PSVR)

This is a VR adventure game, based on the animated Rick and Morty TV show, in which players assume that role of a cloned Morty doing chores for Rick. From a first-person perspective, players interact with characters and use items in the environment to solve puzzles. A handful of interactions lead to mini-games in which players fire lasers at alien creatures and/or other characters. During the course of the game, players have the ability to consume laxatives and feces on the ground, resulting in a vomiting effect. Swear words are heard in the dialogue.

Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly

Content Descriptors: Fantasy Violence, Language, Mild Blood, Mild Suggestive Themes

This is a visual novel in which players help a young woman recover her lost memories after waking up in a mysterious mansion. As the narrative progresses, players can interact with characters and make choices that impact the story. Some interactions lead to still-image sequences that depict instances of violence and/or blood: a man shooting a gun at players' screen; a wounded man with a blood-stained arm and clothing. Players can also engage in a mini-game to shoot butterflies with a target crosshair; realistic gunfire is heard. One still-image sequence depicts a man forcefully kissing a woman with text that reads, “I try to twist away, but I can't escape his grip or his hard kiss”; the dialogue also includes a handful of suggestive references. Swear words are heard in the game.

Yakuza 6: The Song of Life
(PS4)

This is an open-world action game in which players assume the role of a Japanese gangster as he searches for a lost girl. As players explore areas in Tokyo and other cities, they engage in missions that involve fistfights with thugs or rival yakuza members; some fights depict characters using weapons such as pistols, bats, sledgehammers, and pipes. Combat is frenetic, highlighted by screams of pain, gunfire and/or impact sounds, blood-splatter effects, and slow-motion special moves. Players can perform scripted moves after building up a meter; these actions include breaking necks or limbs and using the environment to cause damage. Cutscenes depict more intense acts of violence: characters shot in the head; a gangster shoving a man's face onto hot coals; a character stabbing himself in the belly. The game includes sexual/suggestive material: a man briefly groping a woman's breasts in a nightclub; online chat rooms in which players' character flirts with webcam girls; characters removing their shirts/tops while in provocative poses. One area depicts a character dressed in an outfit with a cutout that exposes his buttocks. During the course of the game, Kazuma can order and drink whiskey at a bar; a status icon denotes character's level of intoxication, while his movement becomes harder to control. Swear words appear in the dialogue.

God of War

This is an action-adventure game in which players assume the role of half-human, half-god-like Kratos as he battles supernatural forces with his son. From an over-the-shoulder perspective, players travel through the Norse wilderness and use axes, bows, and swords to battle various enemies. Combat is frequent and often bloody, with characters punching and kicking each other repeatedly, using bladed weapons to slash/stab/impale enemies. Larger enemies and bosses are dispatched in more intense sequences of violence: Kratos slashing and stabbing a dragon's tongue; a character using an axe to hook and tear off an ogre's jaw. During one sequence, players decapitate (off-screen) an imprisoned character and carry the severed head around; headless corpses also appear in other scenes. Swear words appear in the dialogue.

Nintendo Labo Variety Kit and Robot Kit

Content Descriptors: Mild Cartoon Violence
This is an activity game in which players engage in mini-games using 3D cardboard objects along with their game controller. Mini-games include motorbike/RC car racing/driving, fishing, and musical tasks. One mini-game allows players to control a mining cart through a cave as they collect crystals and avoid bombs; brief flames appear if players run into a bomb.

Video Game New Releases April 10th 2018


Hello and Welcome to Parents Guide 2 Games. Here are the games coming out the week of April 10h 2018.
Extinction
(PS4, Xbox One, PC)
Rating: Mature
Content Descriptors: Blood and Gore, Violence
This is an action role-playing game in which players control a warrior as he attempts to save humanity from extinction by killing giant ogres and their minions. From a third-person perspective, players use swords to attack and kill ogres in melee-style combat; large blood-splatter effects occur when enemies are hit. Players must also climb and kill giant ogres by cutting off their limbs and eventually decapitating them. Dismemberment and decapitation are accompanied by large sprays of blood. Some animated cutscenes also depict violence: ogres smashing villagers with clubs; a bloodied man impaled by a large piece of wood; a character hitting an ogre in the head with a pickaxe.

No New Releases April 3rd 2018, but a guide for parents if your kids wants to be a pro gamer.

Hello and welcome to Parents Guide 2 Games. 
This week there are no new releases. Days like this always make me sad. I have no idea what to write. So I found this article last week and will post a link to it below. It is helpful guide to parents if your child wants to become a pro gamer. It is written by Marty Strenczewilk Co-Founder of Splyce.  He gives ideas on how to help them even if you have no clue about esports. Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings
(PS4, Switch, PC)

This is a role-playing game in which players assume the role of Lydie or Suelle, twin sisters who help their father run an alchemy shop in a fantasy kingdom. Players explore magical paintings to collect ingredients for alchemy, interact with various characters, and battle fantastical creatures in turn-based combat. Players can select weapon attacks and magic spells from a menu screen to defeat enemies. Some female creatures wear revealing outfits that expose moderate amounts of cleavage; the game also references some suggestive material in the dialogue. During the course of the game, several characters are depicted drunk, with red-flushed faces and slurred speech; dialogue also references characters' intoxication.

Far Cry 5
(PS4, Xbox One, PC)

Content Descriptors: Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Sexual Themes, Strong Language, Use of Drugs and Alcohol
This is a first-person shooter in which players assume the role of a sheriff's deputy as he battles religious zealots in Montana. Players explore the open-world environment and engage in combat missions to liberate enemy compounds/outposts, rescue hostages, and battle enemy militia. Players use machine guns, bows, flamethrowers, and explosives to kill enemies in frenetic combat; combat is highlighted by realistic gunfire, large explosions, and blood-splatter effects. Stealth attacks are also used to take out unsuspecting guards discreetly. Cutscenes depict additional acts of intense violence: a man shooting himself in the head; a character repeatedly being electrocuted during an interrogation scene; a man cutting a large swath of skin off a character's chest. Mutilated corpses can be found in some areas of the environment. The game contains references to sex in the dialogue. During the course of the game, players can consume alcohol, resulting in a screen-blurring effect. Several sequences reference drugs in dialogue. Players may also consume homeopathic drugs that boost players' abilities and skills; one drug blurs the screen when consumed and is described as, "Surprisingly good in brownies." Swear words are heard in the game.

MLB The Show 18
(PS4)
Rating: Everyone
This is a baseball simulation game in which players compete with Major League Baseball teams in a number of different modes: Franchise, Road to the Show, Diamond Dynasty and Home Run Derby. Players can adjust an athlete's power and precision while pitching or batting, and can initiate defensive strategies while fielding.

Attack on Titan 2
(PS4, Xbox One, PC, Switch)

This is an action-adventure game based on the characters and events of the series Attack on Titan. Players assume the role of a young soldier who, along with a unit, battles giant man-eating titans that threaten towns and villages. As characters fly around battlefields with wired jetpacks, they use swords to cut off titans' limbs, killing them with a slash at the back of the neck. Battles are highlighted by large splashes of blood when titans are hit; finishing blows often result in larger blood-splatter effects, staining the environment and the camera. Titans are sometimes depicted eating human characters, and in one instance, biting off a character's limb. Throughout the game, Titans are depicted nude, with exposed buttocks, though they lack discernible genitalia. Swear words appear in the dialogue.

Sea of Thieves
(Xbox One, PC)

This is an action-adventure game in which players assume the role of a pirate exploring a vast open world of oceans and islands. From a first-person perspective, players sail ships, search for treasure, and engage in sea battles with rivals. On land, players can shoot and slash at skeleton-like creatures; enemies generally disappear with a wisp of smoke. At sea, players can shoot cannons at opposing ships, causing them to capsize and sink. During the course of the game, players' character can drink mugs of grog, resulting in a screen-blurring effect; belching and hiccup sounds are sometimes heard. Characters may also vomit after drinking too much grog; green vomit is sometimes seen dripping down the screen.

Titan Quest
(PS4, Xbox One)

This is a role-playing game in which players battle mythical monsters from ancient Greece, Egypt, and China. From an overhead perspective, characters engage in hand-to-hand combat using swords, arrows, and magic spells that summon creatures/golems. Once creatures' health meters run out, the dying creatures will scream and fall to the ground or get knocked back. Cutscenes sometimes depict battles close-up, with characters flung around, hit by arrows, turned to stone, and/or slashed with swords. Some female characters wear outfits that reveal deep cleavage; a grey Medusa enemy briefly appears with bare breasts, though no nipples are depicted.

A Way Out
(PS4, Xbox One, PC)

A Way Out, an exclusively co-op adventure where you play the role of one of two prisoners making their daring escape from prison.

What begins as a thrilling breakout quickly turns into an unpredictable, emotional adventure unlike anything seen or played before.

A Way Out is an experience that must be played with two players. Each player controls one of the main characters, Leo and Vincent, in a reluctant alliance to break out of prison and gain their freedom.

Together, you’ll explore notions of trust and consequence as your choices begin to catch up with you.


Detective Pikachu

This is an adventure game in which players help a young man and Pikachu search for a missing character. As players progress through the story, they interact with characters, investigate scenes for evidence, and deduce various mysteries. Some interactions lead to sequences in which players match timed button presses to perform various actions: diffusing a time bomb, attacking enemies with electricity, avoiding enemy attacks. The game contains mild instances of comic mischief and innuendo: a character belching a purple cloud of gas; Pikachu leaning over and making a heaving sound; dialogue such as "Calm down, everyone. No need to fight over me...There's plenty of me to go around..."

Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom
(PS4, PC)
Rating: Teen
Content Descriptors: Fantasy Violence, Mild Blood
This is an adventure role-playing game in which players assume the role of a man helping a half-human child defeat an evil force to become king. From a third-person perspective, players explore environments and engage in melee combat against fantasy creatures. Characters use swords, fireballs, pistols, and arrows to defeat enemies. Combat is highlighted by impact sounds, cries of pain, and occasional gunfire. A handful of cutscenes depict quick splashes of blood when characters are shot.

Pure Farming 2018
(PS4, Xbox One, PC)
Rating: Everyone
This is a farming simulation game in which players run a modern-day farm. Players use a variety of agricultural machines to cultivate fields, harvest, and sell crops.

Devil May Cry HD Collection
(PS4, Xbox One, PC)

This is a compilation of three games from the Devil May Cry action game series. Players assume the role of Dante, a demon slayer on a quest to stop demonic forces. As players traverse gothic environments, they use melee weapons and firearms to kill hordes of demonic creatures in frenetic melee-style combat. Players can also use magical abilities to aid in combat. Battles are accompanied by realistic gunfire, slashing sound effects, and large blood-splatter effects. In some areas, large blood stains appear on the floors and walls of the environment. Cutscenes depict additional acts of violence: a character impaled by a sword; a character shot in the head; a giant creature decapitated and cut in half. One creature is depicted topless with hair barely covering her breasts; background posters also depict topless women with pasties covering their breasts. Swear word appear in the dialogue.

Kirby Star Allies

Kirby is back—and he's finally on the Nintendo Switch console in HD! But this time, he's not alone. Recruit enemies by hitting them with hearts and gather helpers for a party of up to four characters. On top of that, you can join with up to three friends for a different kind of team-up action!

Burnout Paradise Remastered
(PS4, Xbox One)
Rating: Everyone 10 and up
Content Descriptors: Language, Violence
Burnout Paradise is an open world driving game in which players control various vehicles to compete against other players in a fictional urban environment. Players can drive in timed races, stunt events, or a mode called "Road Rage," which requires players to 'takedown' rivals by forcing opponents to crash. Crashes are a central element of the game, and realistic effects such as slow-motion replays, vehicle deformation, and detailed wreckage – for points – add to the overall intensity. While most vehicles do not depict human drivers in them, motorbikes feature human riders that do not appear injured after crashes. A description of a Custom Coupe car includes the term "big-assed."
